The Aether mod is one of the most popular Minecraft mods available today. Aether wasn’t a single mod – it was a collaboration of mods designed to improve the game in a number of different ways – including everything from adding new dungeons to letting pigs fly.
In Aether II, players can experience other zaniness. Aether II remains a collaboration between a number of different members of the Minecraft modding community, although there are many differences between Aether II and Aether I.
Basically, Aether II lets players explore ‘the Aether’, a hostile paradise composed of floating sky islands “filled with strange creatures and great mysteries.”
To reach this paradise, Minecraft players simply need to create a portal out of Glowstone and ignite that portal with a bucket of water. After arriving in the Aether, players can enjoy a number of new and exciting features, including:
-A party system: Form groups with your friends without worrying about annoyances like friendly fire. The party system includes a helpful overlay UI. That UI is similar to the party UI in other games and shows the health, hunger, armor, and coin number of all players in the group.
-Regenerating dungeons: Dungeons are now isolated from the main world and are designed to function well with the party system. Dungeons contain plenty of cool new features. Dungeon blocks will instantly regenerate if players break them, which means players can’t simply rush through a dungeon looting and demolishing everything they encounter. Dungeons are designed to provide unique challenges to players, and only one party can be present in a dungeon at a given time (up to 10 players are allowed in a party).
-A massive island dungeon called Sliders’ Labyrinth: You’ve seen dungeons before, but you’ve never seen a dungeon like Sliders’ Labyrinth. This dungeon spans across an entire island and is packed with loot, enemies, and all sorts of creative challenges. Like other dungeons in the Aether II Mod, Sliders’ Labyrinth features three mini bosses as well as a challenging final boss.
In addition to the features listed above, players will enjoy all of the same content carried over from the first Aether mod. Download Aether II today and enjoy one of the Minecraft community’s best mods.
