Vanilla Minecraft has a basic sprinting system that most players are happy with. However, if you want to run faster and farther than ever before, you’re going to need to install mods like the Better Sprinting Mod.
Better Sprinting edits core Minecraft class files in order to refine the vanilla Minecraft sprinting system. Here’s how it plans to do that:
-Adds a sprint key which allows players to sprint when the key is held down
-Adds a sprint toggle key which toggles between sprinting and walking when pressed
-Adds a sneak toggle key
-Turn sprinting on and off by double tapping W
-Hold the sprint key while flying in creative mood for an extra speed boost
-Adds a sprint settings menu (press ‘O’ to access the settings menu). From here, you can enable or disable all types of sprinting and edit all other mod functionalities with a simple click. You’ll also need to enable certain settings – like the flying boost in survival mode – from this menu because they are enabled by default.
That’s it! This mod reduces the time it takes to do anything in Minecraft and can significantly improve your build times in creative mode. It’s simple and effective. Download it today to sprint faster than ever before.

Step 3) Copy the folder and rename it to 1.7.5_sprint
Step 4) Open the folder and rename both the .jar and .json files to 1.7.5_sprint.jar and 1.7.5_sprint.json
Step 5) Use archiving software like WinRAR to open 1.7.5_sprint.jar
Step 6) Download the Better Sprinting Mod from its official forum thread found here
Step 7) Copy all of the files from the mod’s folder into the .jar file
Step 8) Delete the META-INF file from the .jar folder
Step 9) Open 1.7.5_sprint.json in your text editing program, like Notepad
Step 10) Use the ‘Find’ function (Ctrl+F) to find 1.7.5 and change that id to 1.7.5_sprint
Step 11) Run the new Minecraft launcher and press Edit profile, then choose release 1.7.5_sprint version and then Save profile. Once you’ve done that, you’re ready to go!
Yes, the installation process is complicated and long. But think of all the time you’re going to save by sprinting around the map instead of just running! The mod’s creator, chylex, is also working on a Forge version that will hopefully be released in the near future.
