Minecraft is not a carpentry simulator, and I’m not sure if there’s any game in the world that is a carpentry simulator. However, thanks to the Carpenter’s Blocks Mod for Minecraft 1.6.4/1.7.2/1.7.4/1.7.5, players can learn a little more about carpentry while also building some cool structures in the Minecraft world.
The Carpenter’s Blocks Mod adds a number of new blocks into the game that can act as framework for different structures. Those blocks include:
In addition to adding differently shaped blocks into the game, the Carpenter’s Blocks Mod gives players the ability to manipulate vanilla textures into any new shape or form, which means players can create all sorts of new and exciting structures.
To access this feature, players simply craft a vanilla texture in any of the carpenter’s block shapes. To put it in more simplistic terms, you can now make grass stairs, icy ramps, and other creative surfaces using any of the textures in Minecraft.
In order to change slope and other properties of a block, players need to craft something called the Carpenter’s Hammer. This magical tool alters various block properties and allows players to choose slope, stair orientation, type, polarity, and other properties. It makes it easy to create stairs, blocks with a slope on one side, and even triangle blocks. With the Carpenter’s Blocks Mod, there are seemingly endless opportunities to create new and exciting structures. Have fun!
