As you’ve probably noticed, your Minecraft player isn’t great at breathing underwater. Like most humans, your Minecraft player will start to die after spending more than thirty seconds or so underwater.
Thanks to the Diving Gear Mod, drowning problems are a thing of the past. The Diving Gear Mod adds a number of diving-related items to the game, including:
-Atmospheric Diving Suit
Each of these pieces of diving gear has different tiers. Higher tier items allow players to breathe underwater for a long period of time. All diving gear items, however, are restricted by the amount of compressed air included with the gear. You can easily recharge your compressed air gear by right-clicking any air compressor with a redstone current going into it.
Fortunately, unlike a lot of mods, the Diving Gear Mod uses mostly vanilla Minecraft items for the gear. ‘Coral shards’ are one of the exceptions to that rule. To gather coral shards, players must mine coral, which spawns in and around bodies of water. Coral shards give off a cool light effect and you can create a diverse range of items using coral shards, including swords, shovels, and pickaxes. While coral has the same durability rating as iron, it does work pretty fast when underwater.
This mod makes underwater survival easier by allowing players to stay underwater longer. It doesn’t completely imbalance the game by turning underwater breathing off, but it does help players gather resources more easily in any part of their world. Whether you’re building an underwater lair or simply wanting to explore the depths of your Minecraft world, the Diving Gear Mod is certainly one to try out.
