How could you pass up the opportunity to capture and train your very own dragon? That’s exactly what the new Dragon Catcher Mod for Minecraft 1.6.4/1.7.2/1.7.4/1.7.5 allows you to do. This mod adds an incredible variety of trainable dragons to your Minecraft world. Once tamed and trained, players can ride these dragons or use them to defend their homes.

Dragons are not a common site in the world of Minecraft. And when players find a dragon, they’re expected to use all of their available resources to try to capture it. To help players with this quest, the mod adds a number of new trainer-related items, including:

-Dragonstone: These stones are used to create dragon-commanding gemstones, although they also show trained dragons where their home is.

-Iron Pyrite: Iron Pyrite basically acts like food for dragons. When you feed Iron Pyrite (also known as fool’s gold) to a tame dragon, it will boost their experience and health.

-Dragon Crystal: These crystals are found while mining. They can be turned into gems which provide specific benefits to tame dragons.

-Crystal Gems: Crystal Gems can be fed to dragons for an experience boost or used as a component in other recipes.

-Gemstone Dust: This dust gives dragons an experience boost and infuses Enchanted Bottles with magical properties.

Enchanted Bottles: Enchanted Bottles are used to store dragons. That’s right – you can store a fully grown dragon inside these special bottles. Simply release your dragon when it’s needed.

-Full Bottle: Unlike Enchanted Bottles – which are empty when crafted – Full Bottles come with a dragon already inside.

-Deep Gem: Deep Gems are used to tell tame dragons to sit down.

-Wander Gem: When players equip the Wander Gem and click on a dragon, they will start to wander around freely.

-Dragon Flank: If you kill a dragon, this piece of meat will drop onto the ground. You can cook the meat and eat it, although the mod’s creator doesn’t recommend feeding it to other dragons – apparently, they’re not cannibals.

Dragons can be found throughout the Minecraft world. Dragons have many different colors and habitats and they vary widely in terms of their strength and attack power. Once you’ve tamed a dragon (using valuable items like diamonds, gold, apples, ingots, and nuggets), you can do a number of different things with it, including:

-Train your dragon

-Feed gems, metals, and animals to your dragon

-Tell your dragon to sit or wander around

-Ride your dragon by giving it a saddle

-Breed dragons by feeding two dragons wheat, which is apparently a dragon aphrodisiac in the Dragon Catcher mod
