The Kingdom of the Sky Map for Minecraft is one of the most creative maps available today. Kingdom of the Sky is an adventure map designed for one or two Minecraft players.

Unlike many other Minecraft maps, the Kingdom of the Sky map actually has voiceover dialogue which introduces players to the story elements of the game. Since directly integrating voiceovers in-game is impossible with a simple map installation, the map’s creator has uploaded voice files to YouTube.

Players start playing those YouTube videos when they reach certain points in the map. This is a feature never before seen in the Minecraft community, which makes Kingdom of the Sky worth the download alone.

Meanwhile, the map itself involves an interesting story where players leave their house early one morning to find a stranger asking for help. That stranger claims that a great evil has befallen his homeland. His homeland, as you may have guessed is the fabled ‘Kingdom of the Sky’.

I’m not going to spoil the rest of the map experience for you, although I will say that the map is challenging and takes players to some truly amazing locales. As with any kingdoms in the sky, the view from some of the locations is simply breathtaking.

The map also comes with a texture pack that must be installed to access some parts of the map. If you want to play the map the way its original creator intended, then you’ll install the texture pack. Follow the instructions below to learn how.
