Thanks to the More Village Biomes mod, villages will now automatically generate in all of the major Minecraft biomes. This mod adds villages to the Forest, Extreme Hills, Taiga, Swamp, Jungle, Ice, Plains, and Desert.
All of these villages are designed to be more creative and intelligently-designed than vanilla Minecraft villages. They fit in better with their surrounding environments, for example, and can be spread across hillsides or into valleys.
One recent update to the mod added underground villages to the game. Players can create an entire village underground without having line-of-sight access to a skyblock, which previously made underground villages impossible to build in vanilla Minecraft.
After installing this mod, villages will not appear on chunks that have already been created. Instead, players will have to travel to new chunks or create a new world in order to check out the new villages.
There are three different installations for More Village Biomes, including a Normal, Medium, and Extreme version. The Normal version spawns villages at the same rate as vanilla Minecraft, while the Medium and Extreme versions multiply that rate by 2x and 4x, respectively. So if you want to see a ton of villages scattered around your Minecraft world, feel free to install the Extreme version. However, the mod’s creator – shortwind – recommends players install the Normal edition.
Players can also create buildings for villagers and watch villagers actually use them. Shortwind has made it easier to build usable doors for villagers (no more skyblock line of sight requirements on doors), which means that players can expand villages as much as they want.
Village logic addon
Shortwind has created two mods. The first mod – More Village Biomes – expands the number of locations where villages will automatically generate. The second mod – Village Logic Addon – makes villages (and villagers) smarter and adds population management features, improved building creation, and other valuable additions.
If you’re tired of wandering around a boring and empty Minecraft world, then the More Village Biomes mod should help. Check it out today to start adding creative and intelligent villages to all of your biomes.
