Players who have played the popular series of SkyBlock maps will know what to expect from the OceanBlock Survival map. However, unlike the SkyBlock maps, which lets players plummet to their death any time they dig too deep or step in the wrong spot, the OceanBlock Survival map is more forgiving.

With the OceanBlock Survival map, players are on a tiny island surrounded by an endless expanse of ocean. If players fall off, they can swim right back onto their island. However, in order to escape and complete the island’s challenges, players will need to use the limited resources they have in order to craft some creative solutions.

Just like other Survival maps, there are a series of challenges included with OceanBlock Survival. Those challenges include basic tasks like making an oak tree farm, as well as more advanced challenges like ‘get an Ender Dragon egg’. There are 65 challenges in total as well as 6 bonus goals for players to accomplish.

The map’s creator stresses that OceanBlock is not SkyBlock. It’s a little more forgiving in terms of avoiding instant death-by-falling. However, it’s just as challenging in terms of using the limited resources on hand to accomplish a series of goals.
