Primitive Mobs – like all Minecraft mob mods – adds a plethora of new creatures to your Minecraft world. Here is a quick glimpse at some of the creatures added to the game thanks to the Primitive Mobs mod:
The mobs are certainly creative, and each one has a unique story about how they came to the Minecraft world. The Lost Miner, for example, is stuck wandering the depths of Minecraft’s underground caverns. Instead of hurting players, he will actually help them – players just have to lead him to the surface in order to be rewarded with emeralds.
The Traveling Merchant is another ‘passive’ mob that does not attack players. They can trade a random selection of items to players, so be sure to talk to them to check if any rare items appear.
The hostile mobs are the ones that most players will be concerned about. One particularly creative enemy is the Mimic, which disguises itself as a treasure chest. When players encounter it, they will most likely walk towards it because it resembles a real chest. But the Mimic has a 75% of attacking players (and a 25% chance of being real treasure). So be careful any time you open chests.
Other enemies are mostly what you would expect to find in Minecraft, like creepers and spiders. The creative selection of mobs prevents things from becoming too boring in the Minecraft world, and fun mobs like the Lost Miner add a quest-like element to the game that many players will appreciate.
