Runic Dust Mod for Minecraft 1.6.4/1.7.2/1.7.4/1.7.5

The Runic Dust Mod adds a touch of mysticism into the Minecraft world. It gives players the ability to draw runic symbols on the ground. Then, after making a sacrifice on those runic symbols, “something magical will happen,” according to the mod’s creator.

In short, the Runic Dust Mod gives players the ability to etch runes on various surfaces. Then, by imbuing those runes with special liquids like water or lava, or by ‘sacrificing’ items onto the runes, various effects will be created.  Sacrifices can also include living creatures like pigs.

The mod assigns different powers to different types of runes, so the effects aren’t random. For example, the ‘lumberjack’ rune will destroy all trees within a certain radius, while the ‘campfire’ rune will instantly smelt all items that are tossed within the radius. The runes are useful and can help players accomplish a wide variety of tasks.

In order to create runes, players must consult with the Runic Tome, which is crafted by putting any dust on top of a book. The Runic Tome will also tell players how to create various types of magic dust. Plant Runic Dust can be created by combining tall grass with coal, for example, and Blaze Runic Dust is created by combining Lapis Runic Dust with Blaze Powder. The Runic Tome will also show players how to use runes to their maximum potential

Runes must be chiselled into the ground by players, and the area of effect must be specified in order for the runes to be as effective as possible. Runes have different power levels according to a number of different factors, like the type of sacrifice and the type of rune dust.
