Sassgard Resource Pack for Minecraft 1.8

Sassgard is a high definition cartoonish / comic styled resource pack based on the Norse and viking arts and textures.

Similar to the famous Sphax PureBDCraft in terms of color shading the comic styled theme. Created by loki_of_sassgard, Sassgard resource pack features a little bit of bonkers and a little bit of Norse.

Due to its high definition of 128 x resolution and advance animation and features, this pack relies heavily on the MCPatcher Minecraft tool. But for those who don’t want to use MCPatcher, another version that doesn’t include such features are available for download as well.

The resource pack itself features two versions: the original Sassgard, and a much darker and dirtier counterpart named Ragnarok.

Personally, the original Sassgard version reminds me too much of Sphax PureBDCraft with a few quirkiness of its own. The Ragnarok version, however, is a bit on a serious side due to its darker texture and grimmer appeal – making it more attractive for me than the original.

This resource pack also features multiple patches and add-on. This includes new music play list, textures for players in creative mode, and for CTM maps.

Aside from all that, this resource pack also features an array of alternate textures that are available for download. Setting an appeal to everyone’s tastes.

Overall, this resource pack features great detail and illustration from the lining and outline, to the color choices, and to the art and design based on the Norse culture.

Although it resembles other popular resource pack at first glance, if you look at it closely you will see the beauty of it and the time spent to make it. This RPG, Norse-themed cartoonish resource pack is well deserving of your time, so go ahead and try it out.
