Spider Queen 1.6 is one of the most unique mods in the Minecraft community. It changes your player from a human into a special spider mob called a ‘Spider Queen’. This Spider Queen has plenty of fun new abilities and powers, and exploring the world as a spider can be a lot of fun.
Spider Queens see better in the dark than humans, opening up access to areas that were previously difficult to navigate without lighting. In the depths of caves, players can encounter (and make friends with) familiar mobs like skeletons, creepers, and zombies. To become friends with these mobs, simply give them hearts, skulls, and brains.
You can also choose to make friends with humans. Or, you can wipe them out entirely. It’s up to you. In that sense, the Spider Queen mod introduces RPG elements to the Minecraft world. You can choose to be good, evil, or neutral. Start a family of spiders, or rule the world with your massive army.
Speaking of army, the Spider Queen mod gives players the ability to summon all sorts of allies. Players can take control of a Giant Spider mob that acts as your loyal pet, for example. Or, they can create smaller spiders that travel beside you and protect you from danger.
Danger comes in the form of roving bands of battle-hardened humans, as well as new and interesting mobs like Jack the Pumpkin-Head, rival Spider Queens, and even an octopus.
Getting around the world is a lot of fun in the Spider Queen mod. Players can shoot webbing at walls in order to climb vertically, for example. That same webbing can also be used to ensnare other mobs, or to swing your way from one part of the world to another.
Whether you want to start a spider army and rule the world, or create a spider family dynasty and make peace with the surrounding mobs, there are a number of different options in front of you with Spider Queen.
