Tectonicus is yet another map renderer for Minecraft. However, Tectonicus promises to be a little different from other Minecraft map renderers because it draws maps as a large 3D model. This provides some interesting and unique results. Most importantly, Tectonicus allows players to view their Minecraft maps using the Google Maps platform.
Players can render their entire world using Tectonicus, or they can render a smaller circular chunk of it. In either case, the rendered map can be viewed by zooming in and out, or by rotating the view around. The map can also be set to show players and show signs.
Using Tectonicus, players can view all of the features in the Minecraft world. Whether you want to show off your Minecraft world to friends or simply get a birds-eye view of your own world, Tectonicus 1.6 wants to make world viewing as easy as possible.
To get an idea of how Tectonicus works, the tool’s creator has provided a link to an example map. Check it out here. The interface will be instantly familiar to anybody who has used Google Maps or Google Earth because Tectonicus loads maps directly into the Google Maps platform.
