As you may have noticed, Minecraft isn’t the most tropical-themed game in the world. Sure, there’s desert sand, water, and other hot environmental features, but it doesn’t exactly feel like players are on vacation in Hawaii.
That’s why TropiCraft was invented. TropiCraft adds a new tropical biome to your Minecraft world. This biome is called the ‘Tropics’, and it’s home to colorful jungles, turquoise waters, and even pina coladas. The mod’s motto is “Welcome to Paradise”, and it wants to help Minecraft players relax in a beautiful environment.
One of the best parts about the TropiCraft mod is how you get to the Tropics in the first place. Unlike other world generation mods, you can’t just immediately spawn a Tropics biome. Instead, you travel to the Tropics in-game by following these steps:
-Go to the desert and find a palm tree. Grab a coconut from that tree and hit that coconut with a sword to get a Coconut Chunk.
-Find a Pineapple Bush. These bushes are generally found in the Plains biome.
-While you’re in the Plains biome, find Bamboo rods (you’ll need 7 for the recipe we’re about to create)
-Open a Crafting Table and craft an empty mug by placing seven Bamboo in a U-shape design around the outside edges of the 3×3 crafting window.
-Craft a Pina Colada using this recipe
-Craft a Beach Chair
-Sit down in the beach chair and wait until the sun starts setting. Once the sun starts setting, drink your Pina Colada and you will drift into the tropics.
Once players arrive in the Tropics, they encounter a world unlike anything they’ve seen before in vanilla Minecraft. The first thing to notice about the Tropics is that the terrain generation is creative and intelligent. Sandy islands are surrounded by vast oceans of turquoise water, and each island is home to smaller pools and lagoons further inland. Many islands feature large volcanos, and huge palm trees rise out of the sand.
There are also plenty of new animals to discover in the Tropics, including new specifies of fish, frogs, turtles, and birds. There’s even a Creeper wearing a Panama hat. Seriously.
If you want to travel to a warm and sunny destination in your Minecraft world, then the TropiCraft mod will get you there. Download it today to instantly enter vacation mode.
