In vanilla Minecraft, redstone charges could only be transferred using wires. Fortunately, thanks to the Wireless Redstone Mod, that limitation is a thing of the past. As the name suggests, this mod allows redstone charges to transfer though the air without the use of wires.
Players can now transmit and receive redstone signals using special frequencies. These frequencies are transmitted over the redstone ether. There are a number of different frequencies available, and receivers and transmitters must be on the same frequency to interact with one another. Several devices can be placed on the same frequency.
So what can players do using Wireless Redstone? Basically, this mod allows players to transmit an on or off signal to a redstone receiver. Players set each device to either 0 or 1, and then that broadcast state is transferred to other redstone devices.
Wireless Redstone 1.6 has a simple function, but it certainly expands the things you can accomplish in the Minecraft world. Instead of running wires between each and every redstone device on the map, you can transfer signals over greater distances with fewer materials. If you want to start building redstone machines without using wires, then download Wireless Redstone today.
